I don't mean just songs you like, I mean was there any song that when you listened to it you felt like you were in your own happy fantasy world? Or maybe you felt deeply sad and remembered all your problems. So was there any song that impressed you very much and made you feel very happy or deeply sad, or both, when you listened to it?
This happens to me in most of the time. Almost all of those songs make me feel sad, even if they are happy songs, because they remember me that I can't be happy as the singer... as the lyrics say... I'm not how I wanted to be... And I can't change anything because there are a lot of things stopping me...
Anyway... I got from one subject to another...
Just write me the name of the artist and song that impressed you, please.

Nine Inch Nails - Reptile, Every Day is Exactly the Same, Closer, Right Where it Belongs... basically, anything by NIN.. my favorite band of all time.
Tool - Stinkfist
Disturbed - Stupify, Remember, Mistress

I'm pretty sure that you can find all these songs on YouTube. If you had to listen to one of each, then listen to the first one for each artist.

And no... I do not allow others to contact me. Why should I? Privacy issue... I don't want scary, maniacal stalkers to e-mail me.

I have 2 songs that made a big influence on me in the way you describe here:
the first would be "brothers in arms" by Dire straits. whenever I hear this song, I stop everything I do and just listen to the dialog between the vocal and the electric guitar.
the second is "My Immortal" by Evanescence (the rocky version). it keeps reminding me of a certain period in my life, and I love listening to it.

Forever by Mariah Carey
Makes me remember the guy i loved with my heart but could not have him by my side

Those days of love are gone
Our time is through
Still I burn on and on
All of my life
Only for you

From now
Until forever
And ever, my darling
Forever
You will always be the only one
You will always be the only one

As long as I shall live
I'll hold you dear
And I will reminisce
Of our love all through the years

From now
Until forever
And ever, my darling
Forever
You will always be the only one
You will always be the only one

If you should ever need me
Unfailingly, I will return to your arms
And unburden your heart
And if you should remember
That we belong together
Never be ashamed
Call my name
Tell me I'm the one you treasure

Forever
And ever, my darling
Forever
You will always be the only one yes
You will always be the only one oh baby
You will always be the only one

Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one
Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one
Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one
Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one
Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one
Forever (forever)
You will always be the only one

I remember one day in college I heard "Angel" by Sarah McLachlin while I was lying in bed. I have never feel so warm and peaceful. You know how to get a hold of me.

"Imagine", by John Lennon.
That song is the most powerful song--- John Lennon was so amazingly talented.
Also, "World On Fire" by Sarah McLachalan. It really makes you think about others.
