The 'why' part on most of these answers is really lacking. I mean is freedom and money is all you people care about?

What about enviromental practices, international affairs, education, family services, health care...and general quality of life?

Whos doing the best job to balance it all out?

So the Somalis should be content with the type of anarchy raging in their country, as they have persistently resisted all attempts to bring sanity to this land. But more seriously, I think the countries in the far northern hemisphere are doing well - Canada, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland ... If I had a choice, I would settle for Greenland or Antartica, because there you will see fewer people and less crime, particularly corruption.
