There was so much about him that I had never heard. Why don't they show people how much they are appreciated while they are alive. He was quite a person.

Just too bad that they don't allow the good presidents keep on being president. In other words, allow people to vote on how well that good president does every year or so, and then if that president starts doing dumb things, he gets voted out. Then the really bad presidents, like the one we have now for example, don't have a chance to screw things up beyond repair.

Either that or restrict the presidents powers to rationalization, where when some really dumb decision is about to be made, allow all the former good presidents that did well on those decisions in the past, vote on weather that certain thing is allowable or not. Would make alot more sense to me, we wouldn't be going through all this garbage we have to go through in this country.

If you watched C-Span you would have known all those things. Check it out. It's the best stuff on television. And I agree with you. He was quite a person and our country was fortunate to have him as our President.

As you are surprised by some of the positive, then you would be surprised by some of the negative.
He's departed, it's OK to remember him with this positive spin.

His only mistake was pardoning Nixon.

Who was not a bad president, by the way.
