Let ur hair go, don't try and make it look like something its not. Just work with it, if it wants to become a fro, let it. i've seen so many cute girls with fros. Okay, i'm five six and i weigh one forty five, i totally understand the problem with dressing. Find fitted jackets, the compliment curves and cover pudge. Dark jeans thin the legs. Slight flare on the bottom balances hips. If your bust is larger, find sloping neck lines that don't make u look slutty. Empire waist shirts or shirts that tie around the middle can help create more defined curves. I hope this helps, and i'm sure you'll be looking good soon.

First, start with styles that you like for your hair. Find photos of celebrities that have a similar face shape and hair texture, then take those to your hair stylist. Be very specific in what kind of change you are wanting, such as a hairstyle that will make a round face seem longer, etc. Also consider getting your eyebrows shaped, it can make a whole new look instantly polished. Consider heading to a salon that also offers makeup consultation to find out which new colors of makeup would accentuate your new look.
As far as clothes are concerned, the best place to start is what you feel comfortable in. You said you receive compliments on Vnecks and that is a good place to start. If you are a bit larger chested, be sure to have a great bra that lifts and separates, no matter what the cost is.
Go for longer pants that fall over your shoes but not to the floor. Stick with straight or wide leg pants as this creates a long line, making you look taller and leaner. Try some pointy toe shoes, which also extend the length of the look of the pant. Stick with skirts that are about knee length, anything longer will look a bit frumpy. I have found that button up shirts that are fitted under the bust help to accentuate a waist, creating a lovely hourglass shape. Don't be concerned with the size tag in the clothes, go with what really looks good on you. Anything that is too tight will only accentuate every little bump.
Take a good look at the colors that you really enjoy and look good on you. I love olive green but it looks horrendous on me. It took a long time to learn that it did not look good with my complexion! Darker colors on the bottom will also help to thin your frame, so stick with darker wash jeans with a fantastic top in a great color and fabulous shoes. With your new hair cut, you will ensure some great compliments on your new look!

Dress in a tight fitting shirt. Make sure it doesn't have stripes going across it because it makes you look fat. Try every hairstyle there is and see what looks best on you. I don't know what you look like so I can't decide your hairstyle. Some ideas are:
Pigtails,
Cowtail,
Ponytail,
2 Braids or
tiny braids.
Wear black and pink clothing. My step-sister is overweight and those are the colors that she wears most of the time.
As for shoes, wear cool tennisshoes and I advise not wearing sandals. Sometimes they don't look the greatest on overweight people.
Lastly you asked about pants. Lots of jeans is my recomendation. I highly advise you to not wear many skirts, and if you do make sure they go below your knee. I think low riding, perfect fitting jeans are the best for overweight people.
I really hope these tips work, and good luck trying stuff out!

First... black and vertical stripes make a slimming affect. Then for your hair... short hair with layers and highlights should compliment you. Maybe even angled bangs... When it comes to your clothes. Wear tighter fitting clothes, but don't make it look like it was painted on you. Be comfortable yet stylish. Add belts over your clothing. But do not wear "Look at me!" belts because you want to draw attention to your face. Also, v-necks are good if your busty... But don't go too much into the revealing because then its just unnattractive then. Big earings and a necklace should bring the attention to your face. Hope this helped!

An oversized t-shirt or sweatshirt will make you look sloppy and heavier than you really are, look for tops that are more tailored to fit closely to your body. DON'T wear tight clothing, you want to show off your curves, not hug fat rolls. Don't be afraid of color! Just because you are big does not mean you have to wear all dark and vertical stripes! Pairing up a vibrantly colored V neck blouse with dark wide leg trousers is always a winner.

As for your hair, save up a little money and make an appointment with a stylist who is experienced with ethnic hair and have them show you how to use various styling products for the best results, as well as come up with a style that suits you and is managable. If your face is very round, try to stay with sleek, straight styles to keep from making your head look even bigger.
Good luck!

go to a hair salon and have them show you pictures of hair styles they think would compliment your face. vnecks are good on round faces, dont wear clothes that are too tight, that always looks worse but dont go too baggy either, as that makes you look bigger than ever, your clothes should just skim your figure not have it busting out nor hidden in a sack. cut out the carbs and you will start to lose a little, go for a short natural type hair do that is a bit shorter on the sides and taller on top giving you more height and less side bulk so you dont look like your head is totally round. dont wear stripes, go for a pattern that has no specific direction to it. i try to avoid buttons since they always pull at the bust line on me, so i wear pull over tops, if your vnecks are too low for school put a higher necked tank under it. you can go with warm colors, oranges , gold, olive greens, tan and golden browns and sometimes various shades of red, warm purples and turquoise blues. if you have a bigger bottom keep the plain colors on the bottom and prints on top or darker shades on the bottom and lighter shades on top. dont wear fabrics that are too bulky but also dont go for the really slinky fabrics like micro fibers as they usually show every lump or bump on your skin since they are so thin. cotton knits and lighter weight sweater knits on top and cottons and smoother wool like skirts , and jeans are good too if they arent cutting off the circulation, and no hip huggers if you are heavy, they will show way too much lump above the belt on those things. believe me i made all the mistakes.lol good luck

I think you should look at Torid...or Torrid, its like Hot Topic only in larger sizes...and omg are the clothes cool. Check out their styles, let them help you with changing your image and then go to a fairly inexpensive salon in one of your new outfits and ask them what hair style they recommend. When I say a cheap salon I mean like Precision 6....god how did the other national chains just slip out of my brain? The stylists in those salons never get to truly use their skills because most people go in there wanting a trim....they love it when a person comes in and they actually get to practice their craft. Good luck babe I am sure you will look fabulous.

wear form fitting clothes, not too tight though. the key is to TRY THINGS ON. You'll never know until you try. ask some advice from the store employees if you don't' have anyone to go with.
