If you'll look at my Q&A's you'll see that I support the GLBT 100%. But I have a question about something I noticed . There are 2 different kinds of personalities that I've noticed that gay guys have. Neither one is right or wrong, it's really to each is own. But one kind is very quiet & the other is very flamboyant. And from the 2 couples that I know it seems that the guy whose flamboyant is always so happy & so much fun to be around. Is that just these two couples or is that the case usually?

There are many different personalities with straight people: mean, polite, shy, sad, angry, outgoing, crazy, etc.... Why widdle it down to just 2 personalities with gays?

while not all gay couples have one flamboyant guy, quite a few do. It's normal, in most gay and straight relationships, for one partner to be more outgoing than the other. That's because opposites attract!

There are MILLIONS kinds of gays.

Some are more what you call flamboyant, and some less.

You seem to enjoy this flamboyant guy, so of course he will be 'fun to be around'. I am gay but find some 'flamboyant' characters tiring to be around. SO, with gays as with straights, whethere people are fun to be around depends on your OWN perspective.

I think that maybe your just seeing part of the flamboyant one's act. It's pretty hard to be flamboyant and exhibit depressing behaviour. My husband and I are equals I would like to think..maybe we're both the quiet type...but we're happy on a deep level.

There is a personality to fit every person. It may be that your experience is limited to those two and that is what you're using as a model. Believe me, there are many more personality types out there, just like with everyone else. It is naive to believe that people fit into neatly packaged roles. And it is a stereotype too. Perhaps if you broaden your social circle and meet other guys, you'll see that there are way more than just two types.

I think in any relationship between two people you are going to find differences...reserved husbands with outgoing wives... full-spirited husbands with husbands that prefer to watch from the sidelines... incredibally-outgoing wives with very shy wives. The differences compliment each other and bring balance to the relationship...Opposites attract!

I think you may have limited experience with gay couples if you think that way.
