I cant stand preps or hollister?

i am a punk goth and i hate how preps thinks that were freaks before they get to know us because were a lot alike i mean i have friends that are full blown emos and they still secretly like hot pink or the songs sexyback or fergilicious.why do preps judge us by our heavy eyeliner and black clothes? im ean im punk goth and my boy friend is a total wiger and we're a perfect match.

I'm 31, so when I was in high school, a similar group was known as alternative, I guess. I really don't remember what term was used back then. I know that punk and goth were not used as freely back then. Anyway, I considered myself different because I was a vegetarian (still am) and into animal rights, I listened to the Smiths and The Cure...what was referred to alternative rock back then. I wore the black fishnets and crazy looking tights along with combat boots. I didn't do the black eyeliner and pale makeup because of skin problems...lol. The majority of my high school liked hip hop and rap. Yeah, people thought I was different and they judged, but who cares. THat comes with the territory. I just look back and thought how much time I placed on trying to be completely alternative. I mean I still like the music and stuff, but I also like some things that are considered mainstream. (I tossed the combat boots and tights years ago..lol) My point is labels are just so stupid and it is exhausting to keep trying to fit a label. You may not realize it now, but all of this will not matter in 10-15 years. Once I started to pay my own bills and have adult responsibilities; all of that just seemed so meaningless. At this point in your life, defining yourself is very important, but just don't let it rule your life. Stop trying to put everyone in a category. Explore many different interests and ignore people who judge. Judgemental people will get what is coming to them someday.

Your statement is somewhat contradictory because, by explaining to us the way ALL preps think, you're making a judgement about them, and that's exactly the action supposedly MADE by preps which you're preaching against. It's all very confusing and very hypocritical.

Don't preach about judgement while being judgemental yourself.

i agree with you. just for yall blondes information, we hate all preps because they think that brand names such as holister or abercrombie will get ppl to like them and make em "popular". that's stupid. all preps think that way, thats why theyre preps. we dont like ppl that think that way. get it? and yea, i like so totally agree wit you. but i mean, i dont really care what they think. so preps leave us alone, and we'll leave you alone. ok?
