I know that sex will HURT when it's your first time--and I know that you will bleed, because your hymen will break. But how MUCH does it hurt?
And I've heard that a woman won't actually enjoy sex until about her fourth time having it. Is that true?

So, basically, how much does sex hurt, and for how long?

well, it depends. the first time is definitely something new - and let the guy know so that he can be gentle and you are relaxed. don't do it unless you are ready to - you won't be relaxed and it probably WILL hurt.
it is definitely a new feeling - but i know that my first time didn't hurt at all. about halfway through when the hymen broke it just made it easier ... i don't remember any pain. it was great. i honestly think it depends on how the guy is with you and how comforable you are. lubrication is also a key - it makes it a lot easier. the more tense you are, the more it will hurt - so don't do it unless you are ready to.

My first time did not really hurt at all. We had been "fooling around" down there for awhile before actually having intercourse so my hymen had long since been broken. The very first time, I felt a little pressure, but it wasn't really pain. It's hard to explain. It was a little uncomfortable, but not enough to really be bothered by it. That only lasted less than a minute. After that, it was fine. I did not bleed my first time. I did my third and fourth times and never since. Everyone is different, though.

To lessen the possibility of pain, try stretching your hymen by inserting a finger into your vagina and move it from side to side. When you can do that without pain, try 2 fingers and so on. Also, use plenty of lubricant and RELAX!! If you're nervous, you'll tense up and it'll be more painful. Also, make sure the guy loves you and cares about you. Make sure he knows that you're a virgin and if he cares about you and loves you, he'll go slow and easy and respect your feelings if you're in any pain.

sex doesnt hurt everyone the FIRST time. i had a friend who hurt the SECOND time she had sex. it all depends on your own body. just like some things hurt more to one person than another. it all depends on your own bodys tolerance. and about the fourth time being the only time you will enjoy sex is not true for all people. some people get used to it and enjoy it the first time. You may not be ready for sex if you have to ask if some of these things are true. Get your knowledge first.

I don't know.
I guess when you've finally learned what makes you feel good, it feels good.

my hymen didn't break until probably the tenth time I had sex. and it bled, only because my BF used his fingers. the first time i did sex with my bf, it was awkward. i knew what i was doing, but i didn't know how good it was supposed to feel. i guess when you're being introduced to something for the first time, you really don't know how to enjoy it until you've actually learned HOW to do it.

some hymens stretch, and never break. everyone is different.

i don't know how much sex hurts, but I know it hurts if i do it too soon after my period, or when I don't have enough moisture down there.

It's like getting pinched, and the pain doesn't last very long.

No, it's not true a woman won't enjoy sex until it's her fourth time. Lies and slander, that is.
