Stretching is very important. Since being is a B-Boy/B-Girl is much like being a gymnist or doing ballet, a totally body stretch is important. At least 20 to 30 minute before you begin.
Also, get into a habit of muscular endurance training, do push up, sit up or other ab workouts, anything that will assist you in the development of your muscles.

push ups. lots and lots of them. and some leg work outs to tone thighs and stuff. or, you could just go find some break dancers and ask them what they do. i just know that there is a lot of stretching involved.
