Math is a tool that allows humans to make unbiased comparisons and predictions about the results of observations.
Observations like how much change you get when paying for a Double Shot expresso or how fast the universe is expanding or how many non-prime numbers there are between each prime number.
Math is a tool, it helps us prove what is true and what is false, based on well known and proven rules.

Math is really important. Think about it. Every field of study, from Physics to English are based on math. The building u see around you are build by applying Physics and thus math. When u tell somebody ur age, u are using math. Ur cell phone is based on numbers. Ur computer that u can't live without is based on math because the computer chips or softwares are made by using numbers and thus math. Can you imagine a world without computers and thus without math? Algebra and calculus are there to make calculations easier and to make them more efficient as well.
Thus, almost everything is based on math.

There is no NEED to study mathematics...it is something one does if it proves beneficial to their well-being. For instance, it is not NECESSARY to learn how to speak; in fact, millions in this world get by without it. But, for most, it facilitates and brightens the world as we know it day by day. The same is true for math. You don't HAVE to study it, but again, there is really nothing that can be lost by studying it, and not knowing it could one day prove dire.

I hear ya. Math sucks does'nt it. With a good teacher, it is'nt half as bad, believe me. Get your parents to find you a tutor or enrol you in places such as kumon . When you always perform math exercises , your brain learns the language, just does math by itself.
The language of math eventually becomes a habit, and you will find that you speak it unconsciously and .fluently.

If you mean mathematics.....it's not that you will use the formula's in later life ;although some will...........and the fact that kids now a day's don't have to show the work and can use calculator's' takes away the whole idea (IMO). Math teaches
one how to think.....
