Relax...it's not as messy as the media and doctor reality shows make it out to be. Oddly enough, my nurse midwife friend says to take some dramamine while you are on your way to the hospital...drink PLENTY of water (or coffee), and make sure you haven't eaten a huge meal beforehand. You'll be fine...if none of this is possible, just concentrate on your GF's upper half...stroke her hair, tell her a joke, keep her focused....that way when whatever mess is cleaned up, you can both look at the new baby at the same time...together. Good luck to you, and congratulations!

Just don't look. Hold her hand and focus on her face and helping her get through that pain.
Besides, you may surprise yourself and be able to take a peek at your new baby once he's born.
Also, you wouldn't be the first dad to pass out, so don't be ashamed if you do. There's a reason my hospital had smelling salts taped to the mirror in my room. LOL

go thru it, do you really want to tell your baby when he/she grows up that you were there, but couldn't handle watching the miricle of there birth, it's not as bad as it sounds, it's over quite quickly once it actually starts, it's also about being there for your woman, she'll respect you more if your there, if your not, she might just be going home with the doctor " if you know what i mean" or you'll be on the couch for the next 18 years

They have child birth videos you can watch to learn more about it. Maybe part of your problem is not knowing exactly what to expect. You could also probably wait outside. But your gf is going to need you in there. Take care.

Make absolutely sure that you are not alone when she goes into labor. If you pass out, you might need medical attention too, and for sure she will need it - just to make sure the baby is OK... and her.

Watch a couple horror movies, you'll think it's nothing when compared to seeing your wife squeeze one out
And SHE's the one thats supposed to pass out, not you. You'll be the laughing stock of the hospital for years.
