Does anyone know if this means that I tested incorrectly? The box says a negative result should disappear after 10 mins.

What kind of test did you use? Most have 2 boxes.... 1 line tells you that u did the test right & 1 tells you if its positive or negative. Are you sure you are reading it right? Cuz if so then the Neg. result would be No line or an empty box. But the lines can stay for years... I dont know where you got 10 mins? Is it a digital or something?

The result doesn't usually disappear. I'm trying to concieve, and have used countless first response tests. If the line comes up, not the test line,but the other one, then you tested correctly. You probably already know, but if you read the test AFTER ten minutes, then it could be an evaporation, and results are invalid anyway. For help on tests try www.peeonastick.com they should answer all your testing questons. If it was negative,and you think you may be pregnant, I would test again in a day or so. Also, if you get any sort of second line,I mean even the slightest, that's a positive on those tests.

I had used two first response tests and they were both positive. I am pregnant. The lines are suppose to disappear in 48 hours and they've haven't for about 2 weeks.

it's probably just a water mark...usually they say to dicard after 10 minutes because a water mark can be formed and can make a positive line appear which would be a false answer...I'd say you're definitely not pregnant...discard the test. If you're unsure, take another test, but discard it after the 10 minutes.

Eva, I've still got my positive tests and they still have their lines on them, so I don't think they ever go away!

if two test came out negative then you are not pregant! i never knew they were suppose to go away! to make sure take another test from a different brand! or go to a local clinic! get some peace of mind!

ur probably taking it too early, taht happened to me. wait a week and take it later. make sure u lay it flat after ut ake the test and put teh cap back on and dont touch it.

okay- just retest with a new stick completely
you may have missed the mark or something.
they have always worked for me
