Ok, I could probably stay up all night if I felt like it without much of a problem. I usually can't get tired until 3:00am, and when I go to bed it usually takes me a long time to doze off. It seems like my mind wanders about anything and everything.

As of right now, I'm not very active. School is on break, and I'm looking for a new job, but even with all that going on, I still usually have the same problem and don't get very tired at night

Anything I could do to help me get a normal sleep pattern and how to just relax and doze off sooner??

Any help would be great, thank!!

PS: I don't drink, so don't give the beer answer lol.

As I write you this answer it is, in fact, 3:16 in the morning. In my defense, I'm up this late on purpose! Right now I'm on break from school as well. This coming semester I have a lot of early classes, so I'll be resorting back to my favorite trick from high school:
Inactivity and insomnia aside, I usually find that I can't sleep because my mind is racing. To fall asleep, I trick my mind into slowing down by concentrating on very mundane details. As you're falling asleep, try recounting your entire day from start to finish, including the clothing you were wearing and what you ate. Eventually you'll fall asleep. (Sort of like counting sheep!)
Maybe try to squeeze an afternoon jog into you day, to use up more energy. Also, try not to eat anything at least two hours before you plan on going to sleep. If your digestive system is working on the Wendy's that you had at 11:45, you won't be getting to sleep before 1 or 2 in the morning.
Hope this helps!

Maintain a daily routine with morning walk, exercises, study time, play time, TV time and so on. Engage yourself in all probable activities, even house upkeep or gardening. Try to have dinner a bit earlier and have a tranquilizer for 2-3 days consulting a doctor. Don't be worried or think while on bed.

I have found that exercise a couple of hours before bed wears me down and I sleep better.

Regular meals at the correct times of day help.

Get yourself into a routine.

Take something at night to help you sleep, such as Advil PM or somethin of that sort.

It helps me alot, not only because i have a super-active mind at night, but also because i have anxiety, and it helps that issue too.

Hope this helps.

Look into the "Delta Sleep System" CD by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson.
It may help you.

it is easy if you try.first you go to bed whenever you want to and think of something you want badly, people you want to be with ,things you want to do but haven't done yet, anything you want in your life but dont have and dream that you have them, slowly you get so much involved that you won't know when you fell asleep ,it really works.
and dont forget to close ur eyes when you r doing this.
so ,sweet dreams..
