My parents had six children, which included two sets of twins.
Eldest = Republican
Second = Democrat
Third = Democrat
Fourth = No Politics at all
Fifth = Democrat (me)
Sixth = Republican
Parents both Democrat

I started out a Democrat when I was young. I turned Republican during the Carter years. I am now a registered Independent and try to vote for the best candidate (or the lesser of two evils) I am basically conservative but do agree with some of the Democratic social issues. I NEVER will vote for a Liberal. I believe they should have their own party as I believe they are as far apart from the average Democrat as they are from Republicans

Well I'm a Republican and my parents are Republicans too. I think the kind of environment you grow up in and what your parents taught you, how they act, what they think does have an effect on whether you become a democrat or a republican.
Depends on different people though

My parents are Democrats. I was a Democrat until late in college, when I took an economics class. At that point I realized that (economically) Democrats are idealists and Republicans are realists. I chose the workable solution.
And all of that from a liberal institution too.
PS. I'm not a Republican, I'm a libertarian.

My parents were Democrats, I am Republican because the Democratic party should change their party name to Liberal. It really depends on the current views of each party

I started out as a Dem and switched party affiliations when I grew up, got a job, a life, a car (three, actually) a house payment, a kid...in short, I am a republican because I live in the real world.

My father and mom have been Democrats yet after seeing fifty 8 thousand american infantrymen get killed in a Democratic conflict that made this one seem revelant and seeing Jimmy Carter stumble via 4 years I replaced my political ideals.

Definitely a Democrat 'cause my parents were. But don't worry; I know that when I'm old and super rich I'll switch to the dark side for the tax breaks and the leniency on money-stashing in Barbados. And the ladies!
