What can be the best surprise for him?

We have been seeing each other for 2 years out of which we have been apart for a year. I want to give him the best surprise of his life. He is a very shy and quiet guy, and I'm bubbly... so what can it be?

I'm assuming that you mean that you will be meeting someone with whom you've been interacting with by telephone and/or email for the past year. If that is correct, then I recommend that perhaps you two meet each other at a cafe or coffee shop or something of that nature, that way it's in a public place and removes some of the awkwardness of meeting in a private location and removes a bit of the pressure.

To surprise him, show up at the place first and have his drink already ordered. Hopefully, to know what kind of drinks he likes after a year of talking. And while it doesn't seem like much, it'll show that you have been paying attention for the past year and take the time to notice the little things.

Make your small talk (i.e. "It's so good to finally meet you!) and then suggest a movie from there. Hopefully you also, you'll know what type of movie he likes and can suggest one that he'll enjoy.

See the movie and then go to dinner from there. This way you guys can talk about the movie if you run out of other stuff to talk about.

After dinner, if you feel comfortable enough, go back to your place and watch TV together and see where it goes from there.

To make it a surprise, pay for everything!

Most importantly, don't try to be too nervous because whether or not you've known each other physically in the past year, you already know each other well enough if a year has passed.

Hope this helps.

I met the love of my life online, we chatted for almost 2 years, I never once thought we would end up together only because he lived 2 states away from me. We both decided it was time to meet each other so he flew to me and we stayed at a motel for a few nights. It had been one of the most memorable nights of my life only because we had an instant attraction which wasnt just physical. We explored the city i lived in, my bf met my family, we did little things that now means so much by memory. A month after that he packed up everything, left his friends and family and is now living happily with me.

If you really like this person, put some thought into what you would like to do and what he would want too. You never know he could be the one!

But just so you know, i was very safe meeting my bf, i did it in a public place and was always around somebody on the first day. Obviously i didnt need to go to those lengths but you can never determine how safe someone can be, so please be careful.

Is this the first time that the both of you have met each other? If not, you can talk about the events that have passed in that one year that you have not met each other. If he is meeting you in your area, you can show him around, walks in the parks, visits to the museums or places of interest, or bring him to places that are special to you in your hometown. As for the surprise, well, it's up to you. Meeting him is already a special event for the both of you. But just a suggestion, maybe you can make him something, like learn how to cross-stitch and make him a cross-stitched image of his name, or maybe learn how to make a friendship band with his name on it, or something like that. It would mean really special as you had taken time to make it for him and also it is specially just for him. It's just a suggestion, but it's your choice. Hope you guys have a blast together.

You really didn't give enough info to answer this. Did you meet him on the net? Was he in the service? How did you meet him? Pen-pal? Friend of a friend? How long will he be there? You make it sound like he will only be with you for a few days...If that is the case....let things happen on their own, Its better than having things planned and go wrong. Good Luck

If it it's your first time meeting I suggest not giving yourself to him intimately unless you realy know you will be together.About six years ago I did that with someone I had known for four years from the net. At th etime I thought we would forge a life together but he was from Denmark and I was going back to Australia, long distance relatinships never work.

If he is returning from war or you already are intimate I suggest a lovely romantic dinner and then listening to music indoros with wine , music and strawberries and cream ( yum) be creative ;)

Talk about the past. Then only if both of you want to make a memorable moment then do it.
