Hi it's true they are happy that what popcorning means BUT don't bring in a female guinea pig as this could be the start of a war between males.

Guinea pigs are naturally skittish, in the wild they fall prey to many animals. Do you know how old the guinea pigs are? Make sure they are both males though! This is one reason why I will never get a guinea pig from a pet store again. They told me that my guinea pig Charlie was a male, well I doubt male guinea pigs go into heat! If they're 6 weeks old it's a good time to check. All you have to do is gently hold them on their back and press gently just above their private area, if anything pops out then they are indeed males. You can also tell by the shape. A female has a Y shape and males have a U shape. When they jump up in the air and twitch their head that's what is known as popcorning. It means they're happy. With Guinea pigs, the dont always fight. What they will be doing is trying to make the cage "their territory" and there not fighting over it, but almost like "disputing" They wil evetually settle down togehter. As Guinea Pigs are 'pack' animals they will find they enjoy each others company!
I have had lots of experiance with Guinea pigs and found that 90%of the time this is the case. They will be jumpy for a while. Just pat them alot and give them loads of attention together.. Eg)try to hand feed them both while in the cage.. they will realize soon that your not a predator. Some guinea pigs i find, if they are nervous when you even look at them they squeal as tho you are trying to kill them! this is normal and one day will stop
Hope this helps and good luck with them

Just like people, each and every animal, even if from the same species have different character. Don't worry,I think they're just playing around as friends but it's quite unusuall for two guinea pigs of same sex not to fight. If you are still worried, try separate both of them and see what happens. GOOD LUCK

Well, that is normal. If they aren't fighting, then that is a good sign. Young guinea pigs jump and squeak, and are very active when they are babies. It is absolutely normal.

The "jumping and twitchy" is a good sign. It means they're popcorning! It sounds ilke they're happy with each other.

Males tend to fight. Be careful that they are not fighting.
