I think I'd sit on it for a while until I had come to accept the outcome. Then I'd do everything I've ever wanted and not tell a soul. Let everyone remember me in the best light and not allow people to be close to me just because they knew when I was gonna die.

Great question. I claimed that I knew when I was going to die - at age 68, just to watch people's reaction on an internet forum. People don't seem comfortable with this kind of talk for some reason, probably cos its tough dealing with one's own mortality.

If it would be soon I'd keep it to myself, spend time with those I love, or want to love, and give them happy memories of our time together. If I knew dying would drag on and get ugly, needing care and causing hardship, I'd probably say i was going traveling, and spare everyone the pain of watching a friend die. This was a good question and should repeat yearly.

I would love to know, but your question unfortunately is a fantasy, as no one ever knows when they are going to die, do they. I don't know if I would tell anyone because I would have to first know for sure myself before making that decision. One thing at a time...

My daughter's teacher didn't tell anyone he was dying of cancer. His family and the students who loved him were shocked and devastated. I am not sure that holding it back is a good idea...but then as some of your other people here answered why would you burden the ones you love...I didn't really answer your question did I? I think if you found that it was only going to be a short while I would not tell anyone. If the death is slow or painful then you will hardly be able to keep it from anyone.

I love my girlfriend far to much to want her to watch me die. I'd spend every moment up until the finial minute with her, give her one last kiss, ask for a drink and after she leaves, close my eyes. Knowing her, she'd know even if I didn't tell her.

I dont think I would, I mean, I dont really think I would want anyone to treat me differntly, maybe right before I went though. As for loved ones, I wouldnt want them to worry and fret over how to make it better or wat they could have done differntly, and I wouldnt want to cause them any pain in my last moments. I also think that if I were going to bite it soon, my last wish would be for people to act fake around me. So no, I really dont think I would, what has been enough to matter in life can rarely be changed in a matter of hours- or it wouldnt matter that much. I would live life to the fullest, as if each moment was my last.

Oh there is no doubt about it that I would tell everyone I know. Why not? If I had the foresight to tell a bunch of people about an event like that, why wouldn't I?

I would like to think I wouldn't, but I probably would, so I could get all the love and attention I would need for my trip.

No,I'd just hug my friends and family without telling them why and I'd take my dog for a walk in the park.
