Yule doesn't last until Jan 6. Yule is one day a year. Usually the 21st, but often the 20th and rarely (like this year) the 22nd of December.
The 12 days of Christmas starts with Dec 25 (The day that Christ was born, supposedly) and ending with Jan. 6th (The day that the Wisemen found him, again, supposedly) Since even the church contends that Dec. 25th isn't REALLY his birthday, just a day designated for celebrating it, then the Jan. 6th date can be seen as arbitrary as well. At any rate, Jan. 6th is the day that German Catholics traditionally take down their tree.
