Tears flowing as we cry , is equivalent to the flowing of the blood as the body is hurt. It is the "blood "of the mind when the mind gets hurt. It is the external manifestation of the bruised mind`s internal pain.
God , the creator created things in contrast to each other so that man is able to understand the intensity of the creation. Joy/sorrow. Pain/pleasure. Love /hate. ...... Laugh/cry. without tasting one we cannot appreciate the other.

Well... crying is one of the emotions in humans. It can be either of joy or of sorrow. It is a very strong emotion which can show exactly what you are felling. Crying also helps to keep the eye clean. It will be same way round as asking Why did God made man with the ability to smile? What's smiling for? Right?

Good question!!
I am no medico to know the physiological reasons behind crying. However, from my experience, it appears to me that when we are hit by deep and sudden sorrow, there is some sort of an acute pressure that comes on felt in the heart and a sort of choking in the breathing. It may therefore be possible that crying is a kind of release from those dangerous developments in the body. In any case, it is quite an established fact that one who does not cry despite a deep sorrow, is likely to get side effects in the mind and body that are not at all palatable..... that is why if someone does not cry at the death of a very near and dear person, other people around are advised to try deliberately to make him cry it over.

Crying is actually a social pathological response. You feel better when you cry because you release vital antibacterial fluids, vitamin C, glucose, calcium, urea, prolactin and cholesterol from your system. You have weakened yourself. Ever known someone that cries themselves to sleep? (Take care of your children) Of course todays society says that it is ok, well – why shouldn’t it be, we need people to run to when we are not feeling well. Who cares if the billion dollar medical industries need sick people to stay in business?
When you cry, you die. It is the result of the body taking control of the mind. A sound mind equals a sound body.

crying is a release. it releases pent up emotions. emotions that have to be expressed in a non harmful way. many time when we cry, we actually cry for ourselves, such as when a loved one dies, yes we cry for them, what they have suffered, but also we cry for ourselves, at how we will cope without them, what will we do now, ect. crying is as much for ourselves as for others. then when we are all cried out. we can then begin again.

I know a good cry releases good feelings (are they called endorphins or something) so I feel better after a cry... maybe its God's way to let us release tension when we're feeling down???

Crying is a mechanism to get rid of all toxic emotions and toxic thoughts out of your body. Its better to get rid of emotions in the form of tears. Just the way you throw phlegm and **** out of your body.

Remember the old fridges that periodically needed de-frosting.
Crying is like a defrost function for pain or sorrow.
