I went to the hospital to have mine & glad I did because a midwife isn't a surgeon! They can't perform an emergency c section! I had to have an emergency c section because my water had broke & 24 hours later they had to take my son c section. I never dialated past 4 cm.

Let's use logic here - if you insist on using a midwife, Do it at the hospital! Have you tried consulting your wife on any of these issues? Or are you just talking out of your a-r-s-e?

many dangerous things can happen during a delivery do you really want to risk her delivering at home. this aint the 1800's pal

I wouldn't make her do anything. It would be up to her what decision she makes and what she is comfortable with. With the husbands input of course.
