My wife worked at Best Buy in the customer service department and they will not accept anything once the security seal has been broken. About the best you can do is get an exchange for the same product. They normally do this when the item you bought was defective.

Some best buys will accept returns if you say you did not agree with the license agreement. The license agreement is a legal contract but you can't read it until you attempt to install the software, so if you don't agree to it, the publisher by law has to refund your money even though the game is opened. Sometimes they do this through the store. Some states require retailers to refund customers who don't agree with the license agreement.

So just walk in and say "I bought this game here but I read the license agreement and I didn't agree with it, and the publisher said to return it here for a refund." I've done this and best buy has taken it back, but another best buy would not. Definately politely escalate to a manager if the first person will not take it back, but don't argue too much with them, it won't get you anywhere.

Anyway as long as you have not played the game, you can send it back to the publisher for a full refund. If you send it back to the publisher, Make sure you ask the publisher to refund the shipping charge for returning the game to them.

Remember, the reason you are returning the game must be that that "you do not agree with the license agreement" any other reason will not work for a refund.

The short answer is no, software and movies can only be returned in new and sealed condition. If you have a defective PC game with receipt, you should be able to exchange it for the same game. Customer service may be more lenient than usual during this time of year because so many people return presents, so you may get lucky.

in the event that they do no longer enable you to come back, i might advise soliciting for an substitute, Circuit city enable me Exchanged a 70 funds game simply by fact it didn' tmeet the reuirements. in the event that they do no longer enable you to do the two, carry directly to till you get a greater effective comp or in simple terms sell it.

Only for even exchange I believe. Besides, go to a pawn shop and you might get lucky and get your game cheaper.

If the item is defective then yes absolutely. If you're just returning it because you don't want it anymore...I'd say probably not.
