well there are lots of hotels in and around the orchard area
if u want top-end hotels - Shangri-la and Four Seasons, they're not on Orchard road but very close..
for 4 - 5 star category there are Meridien, Hilton, Meritus Mandarin which are on Orchard road. Hyatt and Sheraton are walking distance to the orchard road
If u want to stay at the best hotel i would recommend Raffles. I have stayed in this place for 6 weeks. the hotels is not on Orchard road but then its not too far either. Infact in such a small place nothing can really be far
