Resetting the circadian rhythm takes about 3 days. The 'easiest' way to adjust your bedtime is to adjust it to later. Since we need 8 hours of sleep, if you want to go to get up at 9am, you need to be asleep by 1AM. I don't know what time you are currently going to sleep, but try staying awake 2 hours later each day until you reach your goal time, or one day take a quick nap instead of sleeping the full 8 hours and go to bed at the time you would like to in order to get up at 9AM.

We do this almost every night..Got out of it for awhile but then we seeped back into it..If you want to change it just start getting up when it daylight no matter what.At first it depressed me then I realised why should I be depressed I like staying up at nightt better.I think that my wife and I are nocturnal anyway..But to be honest i ask the same question and about a dozen people answered and said why get up if you dont have to .. my friend, father.mother and father and other people I know have been doing this for years and they love it.So i got over worrying about it..Our son came to visit for about a week and we got back into the daytime staying up and found really its overrated so we are slowly moving back to staying awake all night again .We are now having work done at our house and having to get up during the day .. like i said its over rated.. its almost weird being awake when it daylight and depressing..But really if you do want to go back to being awake during the day ,just force yourself to be awake all day one day and then you will sleep that night .. at an early time and things will go back to normal for you .

keep your self up as long as you can stand it then go to bed at 11 or 12 at nite;then you can wake up at 9.00o clock..do it for a few days;till your body will do it by it self,,,good-luck.
