Domestic matches are being played in India, where the tracks are flat and all the players are familiar with the home conditions.
Further when you play the domestic matches you face the bowling attack familiar to you and most of the time the bowling attack in domestic cricket is not of international level.

However, when you play international matches, you have to play in different types of pitches and in different climatic conditions and also have to face the bowling attack of international level which will be entirely different from domestic level.

These are the factors contributing to the failure of the players in international level.

its all bout the pitch 'nd weather conditions.... pitches in india hv hardly got any bounce in them....nor do we get wet or humid conditions where the ball could swing...and only these two reasons combined are the major reasons of their downfall in foreign pitches 'n conditions!
