I have done it. I did it for about 6 months this past year to make extra cash. It's not what you imagine though. Yes, it's all about sex but from the phone sex operator's end, it's all about the cash. I made between $0.50-$1.00 per minute, and calls averaged between 10-30 minutes each, with some lasting longer and some lasting shorter. It was easy money to say the least.

no, i tried phone sex a couple of times in the 90s when it first got popular and it was just funny and sad (not a good combo)
