my wife is giving tution at home the society says y are using ur house for commercial purpose

NO - it is not a done thing -

But if your wife has legally registered her tuition classes as a business (such as Sinhal's Classes) and is paying taxes to the government - then it is liable to be charged something depending on the rules of the housing society...

However, there is no written rule that states that a % is to be paid to the housing society...but if yoiu live in a society u should abide by the rules laid by them

I suggest you consult a lawyer regarding the same....

If the tuition income is very high (over 4 lakhs per month) there could be a problem.

your wife need to pay society Charges.....since giving tuition's at home is also treated as commercial purpose.Apart from this if the receipts from tuition's are more then Rs 4 Lakhs , need top collect Service taxes and pay to Central Government.
