Seems to me that intelligence is the ability to think, and use the data our senses bring into our brains; we are not only born with a certain amount of intelligence, but can optimize this by learning to sort things, prioritize activities, use logic to understand the world. Aside from this, wisdom is a special type of intelligence that builds on experience as well as understanding lthe less precise social signals that teach us lessons of the head and the heart. Without wisdom, mere intelligence doesn't fulfill its promise. Without intelligence, accepted "wisdom" can be reduced to just cultural folklore.

Intelligence is being able to figure out logic. Wisdom is understanding why people and society are the way they are. In a way, they are the same, but wisdom is seen by some as above intelligence, or maybe some people think intelligence is just knowledge (knowing facts).

I think that both can be obtained outside of genes or being naturally born with them. Intelligence is the ability to analyze situations, having logic, knowing things, etc. Widsom usually is when somebody is able to analyze people, society, and really immense, intricate, and controversial concepts. Not only does the wise person have the ability to understand these concepts, they usually have a "theory" of their own, or their own "answers." But really, everyone has their own definition, I think.
