Please dont throw it away. At least donate it to Goodwill or some other charity. Otherwise you can use it for many things if you have any interest in learning about IT stuff, use it to learn about Linux or set it up as a router... Basically if you can come up with the idea you can implement it.

Call your local public high school and ask them if they are interested in a donation. I'm sure the students in the electronics class would have a lot of fun. Recyle rather than dump...

It is a perfectaly good computer, you could get a few hundred bucks for it on Craigslist.org. They have free classified ads for major cities. If you want to learn how to make it fast and fix it up, email me. I can teach you how to make it as fast as the day you bought it, without buying anything new.

There is a program to donate computers to families of soldiers who cannot afford them so they can keep in touch with deployed family members. I will get the web address for you for more info in the next ten minutes or so.
