Normally I believe it's the parents job to make sure kids aren't watching these sorts of things, but my little sister just got in trouble for seeing the uncut version of Jackass the Movie on television. So tell me, in you opinion, has the media gone too far?

yea some of what's on tv is a little outrageous, but it's for the parents to know what their kid is watching. most tvs now have the build in parental controls to make it a little better. I think eventually a kid will be exposed to something thier parents would rather not have them see. but i think the responsibiliy is stiil heavy on the parents.

It Is 100% The Parent's Job! Wht They Need Is Some Sort Of Parental Control So There Children Can Only Watch What They Want Them To Watch!

The has not gone too far. It's the parents job to make sure kids aren't watching things like that on TV. That's why there are parental controls on televisions now. That's why there's the TV Rating at the top of the screen. Plain and simple...parents (and no one else) should take responsibility and take care of their own kids.

Well yes and no, the media is just going along with how society is today. I don't enjoy watching constant sexual inuendos (spelling) every 2 seconds in a show but that's just how people are now. Ha! try moving to Jersey, everyone here is a rotten bastard fitting the sex and violence on TV theme to a tee.

i agree, the parents should have control of the tv. they even have special passwords for TV's now-a-days to keep kids from watching it. plus if she didnt see it on TV, then she would eventually find it on the internet, or at a friends house, i dont know her age but i would deffinatly say you parents should find the rating blocker on your TV.
Also, after 10 PM the FCC lets up on its bans some.

I would never let my son see that movie, I don't care if they did take out the bad parts of the movie. My kids never watch anything unless I see it first.

i can just say that you should amke your sister aware of these things and i think the media has gone so afr and sex and violence are common on tv and even a five year child knows what is sex so you should amke aware your sister side effects of sex and bad effects of violence and just let her see that otherwise she would be just eager about these and she migt go on wrong way
