We have a formal dance in about a month, and I'm shopping online for a dress. I found two so far , and I was wondering which you like better?

(I've fallen in love with this one, but even reduced $300 it is a bit expensive)
Also, if you could tell me or give any links to stores or dresses that would be appropriate, and preferably under $150?
thank you very much

They do look a bit old for me, now that I think of it (I'm only 14)

considering your age - the style of the saks dress would be better for you - BUT maybe in a different fabric/colour; something softer & younger looking
Also be careful about the accessories you choose to finish off the outfit - medium height heels- strappy sandals
GOOD LUCK with your search & ENJOY your formal

UPDATE:- I looked at the sites Angel recommended & I would suggest checking out the following styles:-
limitedtoo.com --chiffon ethnic printed dress
Voile Eyelet Halter

Macy's :- Page 1 Ruby Rox strapless ; GUESS Strapless floral print
Page 3 :- Rampage Floral Charmeuse Emma
Page 4 :- Necessary Objects Flutter Sleeve Party dress
Page 6:- Trixxi Ruched Glitter Mesh Halter *****
Trixxi beaded trim party dress ******
Page 8 :- Rampage Brocade & Tulle Ballerina Dress ******

*******- ones marked like this particularly good

There is plenty of time for you to go way over the top - keep your age in mind when choosing your outfit - that includes accessories & well fitted underwear -
It is much more flattering to look your age than much older

I love the one from Saks. It's a lot more formal looking than the one from Nordstroms

I like the one from Saks but I think the color is too dark and look really grown up. I think it would be better if you choose a lighter color, if there is one.

I love the one from nordstrom. If this dress is expensive you could probably wear it to a lot of functions.

ok...um...how old are you? I ask that because both the dresses look like something my mom would wear. Granted the first one looks better, but they both look kinda like a woman over 30 would wear.
