Do you mean Multiverse?
as in a hypothetical cosmos of multiple universes: a hypothetical cosmos that contains our universe as well as numerous other universes and space-times
Some believe the 'universes' might exist in the same 'space-times' but each are in different quantum states. Kind of like different radio frequencies, all of them are out there, you just have to find the right frequency to 'see' them.
Others think they are totally divided by barriers called 'branes' (short for membranes). And, still some think their are other universes out in far space beyond the visible range of our universe.
As you can see, lots of theories. Not a whole lot has been proven at this point. Most of it's just mathematical conjecture and quantum theory thrown in.

The word "verse" means "turn" so the word "universe" could be taken to literally mean "one turn". Supposedly, we live in a UNIverse (one big box that has everything in it -- time, space and matter). But what if we lived in a MULTIverse? Think of a cup of water. Without the cup, there would be nothing holding the water. But then you need someone to hold the cup and then you need the ground for that someone to stand on -- and so forth. So, the question then arises, who holds the universe? Why doesn't it just fall down and break? One possible answer is a multiverse -- a bunch of universes that are holding each other. Of course, that still leaves open the question of who created such a complex system. And the only answer that makes any sense, to me, is, "God knows!"

understand this.
There are many concepts of the existence of our universe.
Multiuniverse is rather difficult to explain, as there are of course different theories.
There are thoughts we live in a parallel universe - where, we have an opposite or 'anti-universe' connect to our universe. Similarly thought to be of a more flat "hourglass" shape.
Other theories, is the "String-Theory" - plus many others i can't recall at present.
Multi-universe, where there are multiple universes, may exist all differently, or identically.
But remember - the idea of the "Big-bang" was a single entity, in a singularity, so the claims of a multiple universe, may be less likely than other theories.

I think you are referring to Multiverse and perhaps not Multiniverse.
Basically it is the theory of multiple universes existing where ours is only a small part of a huge continuum. These universes are, however, not part of each other, but rather parallel partners (to some extent).
David Deutsch wrote a wonderful article some time ago which pretty much explains it...

reality is just an illusion. it's like a game of chess every move has a different out come so the concept is for every move their is a world with different out come. we have so many choices to make in this life. and each world is playing out what would of happined if we maid that choice.
The multiuniverse theory supposes that black holes spawn universes in other dimensions.

Yes The multivese consists of everything that U and everyone else has and hasn't done. Those hasn'ts are the "forks in the road" that you could have done were done, on another plane or universe by U and (u's) and all of the rest of you (and all your you's) some where else :p Sounds more like Qabbalah than science

I think the idea of MULTIuniverse is contradictory. If what you are referring to is several unvierses, then it is false because a universe consists of everything. Anything outisde of the universe, if it exists, is a part of the universe! Ha!
