yeah, why are you flirting with old boyfriends? it sounds like you may have been fantasizing about what your life would've been like with James. that's not a good thought for your husband to have, it probably makes him jealous and hurt.

Honestly, yes, I think he does have that right. Flip it around and think how you'd feel if this were his email to an old flame.
The message you sent to James sounds like you may regret that you didn't end up with him, or like you're fishing to see if he wishes you were together.
Either way, as a married woman, you need to focus on your marriage and not even entertain the "what ifs".

Sounds like there might be a bit of regret in your message. If it was my husband he would be mad too. You are talking to an ex about the possibility of you two as an item in the past instead of the people you are with now. Of course he is mad. You made him feel as if you had or have doubts about your choices.

Yep. He has a right to his feelings. The question is this communication to spark an old flame or just reminiscing. You hubby needs to know that "he" is something better and you are happy for how things worked out. Otherwise get a good divorce attorney you may be needing one soon.

tough question...there is alot more I would have to know before I could answer this one but from a males point of view "Yes" There are more ways to cheat than just having sex with someone else. This was one of those ways. It's not so much the action at hand but the thoughts that came from those actions. You asked, I was just being honest

Yes, you are insulting your marriage by voicing your regret. You only regret it because you are unhappy in your marriage and probably think it would've been some great magical relationship when in truth it would be just like your marriage now because you live in the past.

The question to ask is what would you think if you found the same message that a woman sent to your husband. What would you think with the shoe on the other foot?

I would say he has the right to be a little upset. It sounds like you regret getting with him and you miss James. Maybe this is not what you intended, but try to see things from his point of view. Good Luck :o)

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!! I would be pissed, I would feel hurt and betrad. This is cheating, investing time and emotions on another person. Sounds like you still have a thing for this person and Jackson is what you ended up with, that hurts and you shouldn't even be on the email like this with your ex friends. Its unfair and you are cheating, grow up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely!! You've basically said that he was your second choice. Whether that's what you intended or not, that's how he's read it. You've got lots of work to do to make this up to him.
I'd be very very hurt if my husband sent an email like yours to an old flame... as would you I suspect.
Good luck!
