I was on the website http://www.radiolabs.com/products/wireless/antennas/2.4gig/long-range-wifi-kit.php
They claim that there Wi-pod can pick up signals for up 20 miles away. They said that they picked up wireless signals from a stock router 4 miles away with no problem. What I would like to know is , have any of you ever had anything like this, and does this stuff really work? Thanks for any input..

Antennas will only work line of site. You get best signals if you have no obstruction between transmitter and receiver. Bit to receive a working signal 4 miles away in a regular town or city would be impossible. If it was connected to a high powered antenna mounted on a tower pointed at the receiving antenna mounted on a tower and is also a high powed pointed at the transmitting antenna, then it would be possible.
