If you're referring to the movies, to be honest, I hate the fact that they keep changing the directors because every director has an own opinion or view of how the movie should be like and this affects the connection and flow of the episodes in the series. I loved the first two episodes because they seem so much alike and it is obvious that they have been made under the wand of the same person: Chris Columbus. I loved what he did with the first two movies and he's the reason why the first two are my favourites. Starting with the Prisoner of Azkaban, all the episodes seem like they stopped following the actual story based on the book and they wanted to have a life of their own. They stopped trying to achieve the naturality of the HP books and they seemed like they were more focused on other modern aspects coming from Hollywoodian influences that have nothing to do with canon. It just seems like the natural flow of the story has been disrupted. It's obvious that all episodes are directed by different persons and that's very disappointing to me because it's like watching a kid grow under the care of a different parent each year. One parent tells him to eat sweets, the other one denies it. Lol. Do you know what I mean?

As for the books, I prefer the 2nd and the 4th volumes.

Why? I can't exactly explain my reasons. All I know is that when I started reading Harry Potter, I only did it out of pure curiosity. Everyone was talking about this story and I was so annoyed because I felt as though the world was participating in an universal phenomenon and I was the only one who was left out. Note that I was only 11 at that time, so you can imagine that I wasn't exactly fond of reading. When my parents bought the first book, I was glad at first, but all I did was check the shiny cover, then put it on my desk. And that's where it remained until it was fully covered in dust. One day, when I reached a high level of boredom, I picked it up randomly and started reading the first chapter. And while I was reading the first lines, this little voice in the back of my mind kept telling me that I wasn't even going to finish this page. But as I kept reading further, I felt as if I was beginning to be more and more part of something I didn't understand, like I was entering a foreign world with new rules and new emotions. Okay, the truth is I stayed up until midnight and I couldn't put the book away.

When I started reading the 2nd one, Chamber of Secrets, I was already a bit established into the HP world and used with its rules, so it was like the continuation of discovery for me. You know that feeling you have after you taste a piece of cake and you realize it's incredible? But at first you know you can only have one bite. And then you realize you can eat it it all.

That's the same feeling I had when I started reading the 2nd book and that's why it is one of my favourites.

When I started on the 4th volume, I was already a huge fan. The 4th volume represented reaching an extreme for me because by the time I started reading it, I was already obsessed with everything that HP meant.

I guess that explains it.

"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" mostly because of David Thewlis , one of my favourite actors.. he portrayed "Prof. Lupin" teacher of "Defence against the dark arts"

it was also a very good story line and it was a well done movie also
