I mean, this kid in 12th grade who was 18 had sex with three girls that are also in 12th grade and are 17 (one is 16 and moved up) he is a jerk adn a player but he could go t jail for statutory rape for up to 30 years becasue a teacher found out and reported him to the police! Don't you think that is ridiculous!

16 is the age of consent.. but it could happen depending.. on the parents

It's not about the grade it's all about the age even if 18 is so close to 16 she is still a minor and under the law she is off limits to anybody 18 and above.
The law is kind of a strange thing in some states a 18 year old can't drink a beer but he can go to war and die ... Fair not really but it's the law

Depending on the state, the age of consent is different. Where I live, it's 16, but most states it's 18. See if your state has a "close in age" exception.

Anyone who is still in a "grade", shouldn't be having sex. I live in WV, and if you are 18, and the other person is under 18, consent given or not, you will be charged.

THE LAW IS A TRICKY THING. THEY ARE MAKING AN EXAMPLE OF HIM JUST BECAUSE HE IS OF LEAGAL ADULT AGE AND THE GIRLS IN QUESTION WEREN'T.
I DO THINK THIS IS REDICULOUS. THE TEACHER SHOULD HAVE MINDED HIS/HER OWN BUSINESS.
