i have a friend nd im kinda worried cause she always seems to find a way to end up crying during the night, and it seems out of know where. it has to be something psychological, mayb something wrong at home? mayb trauma? if you could let me kno itd help me out so i can help her, im too nervous to ask her like if something happened to her tht makes her a sad drunk u know what i mean....we arent like best friends but we hangout from time to time

according to generXation it is u who can offer an ear to listen to it but they don't want advice..so if u can remember this she may want to talk but don't stick your two cents worth of advice in cause they seldom want it and they can turn on u in a heartbeat, many people try to be nice guys only to walk away shaking their heads saying damned if i do and damned if i don't ~ so know the facts woman just want to have a listener they don't want feed back~ and if they ask for it tell them how pretty their shoes are and change the subject

It means that they use drinking as a way to get away from their problems, whether it be a problem at home to relationship problems. But when they are drunk, they tend to still think about it and are emotionally unstable while intoxicated so they break down and cry because they do not care about whether or not they are looking bad or like an idiot, because, well, they are intoxicated. Talk to her, let her know that you are there and try to help her stop getting drunk it is the only way she will get help and potentially your relationship as friends will get better if thats also what you are looking for.

There are many types of drunks.
Angry drunks that get violent.
Happy drunks that are life of the party
Idiotic drunks like Homer Simpson. Fun for laughs.
And lastly Sad drunks. That are regretful and cry on a dime.
Your friend is the latter. If you want to help her, help her find another less destructive way to cope with her problems than drinking herself silly.

It means shes a horrible drunk.Some people fight when they get drunk.Some people are horny and bad drunks cry. There could be something wrong that she can only express when shes drinking, but I doubt it. She will probably cry just cause the sky is blue that's just her drunk.Try not to drink alot with just a couple of drinks and see how she acts.

She should prob stay away from alcohol. It is not a sign of psychological problems. Alcohol simply affects ppl in different ways. She doesn't handle it well. You are obviously a nice guy for your concern. I've seen guys cry like babies when drunk. Better not to hang out with those types if it bothers you I suppose.

She is just one of those drunks. Dont over analyze it. Some folks are happy drunks, vigerous drunks, funny drunks. Whatever. She's a sad one. Waters wet, stones are hard. Somethings just are. Thats the way it is. Dont think that you can, or even should "fix it" - "it" might not be broken. Though you might want to keep her away from the sauce, y'know?

She may be suffering from depression, and alcohol will only make this much worse.
Getting drunk is such a horrible way to waste your time, help her find better, more productive things to do in her spare time. You don't have to get drunk to have a good time.

If there were something seriously wrong, it would be evident in her sober life as well.
She knows she crys when she gets drunk and I'll bet people pay attention to her when she does, thats all it is, She's a drunk attention Whore. Thats not real bad, especially if she's young, it's pretty normal, but I'll bet you anything if you and everyone else ignores the behavior it will go away.

It looks like she's suffering from a mental illness which is depression because in depression people cry for no reason.
