i struggled with the idea of "30" when i was 29, but now (a few years later)...my gratitude is immense, there is a wisdom not known in the 20's that comes in the 30's, a sense of understanding that you are not invincible, yet your not dead yet either! there is still time to dream, plan, and prepare (you just gotta hustle a little), and there is still time to be spontaneous! enjoy!

My thirties weren't good. They were kind of a miserable blur.
I hated my marriage, the kids were still relatively young, I started college and had to work 3 part time jobs to pay the bills and the tuition. Oh, I shattered my leg and was in a wheelchair for an entire year during that time.
Now, my 40's were great. Filed for divorce, kids mostly grown, bought my own little cabin to run away to..
My 30's were just a weird void in my life.

Yes honestly I'm thirties a better time of life. I think so because I have completed my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Finance and Banking. Though I can't proud myself that I have got good job in relation of my reward and qualification but I know one day it will be alright. In terms of community wise I have started to use my knowledge to save the society, so my contribution to the society have been started to show up.

im only 21, but i was locked up in my house most of my life because my father didnt want me going outside. it was just studying all day or sitting around my room doing nothing. i had so few friends in high school. i feel like i did absolutely nothing with 21 years of my life. when i went to college i was more free, but i was afraid of change and didnt really go out to meet new people. the 3rd year i moved back home and it was just like prison again.
so when the opportunity came, i went to europe for 4 months and i just came back a week ago. it was such an eye opening experience. i could make spontaneous decisions and end up in another country in a couple of hours. i met so many new interesting people.
now that im back, i am both more optimistic and regretful. optimistic that i feel more confident now and will be able to enjoy life better. regretful that i really see how bad and alone my first 21 years were.
i have 8.1 more years until i hit 30. im really going to have to work hard at making up for my lost years, or else ill keep regreting.
i wish my life were different and i didnt have such an strange father who doesnt want me outside at all. i keep wondering what my life would be like if i had been able to go hang out with friends.
i want to be happier.

Thirties were good, married, good job, bought house, had a kid. SInce then downhill.
Lost job, got divorce, kid grew up (he is a still a good thing), medical problems, had brain surgery, bad knees.
Enjoy your thirties.

Only if it takes someone thirty years to realize how stupid they were acting for thirty years. Unfortunately, it probably takes even longer for most people to realize what they've been doing or it doesn't happen at all.

Absolutely. More maturity, better choices, more money, and actually working in a career rather than a job. Paying a mortgage just means you're earning equity!! Sure, most of this you can have when you're younger, but the life experiences at 30 are so much richer, in my opinion.

I'm 35 and I really hope this isn't as good as it gets!! But the only alternative to getting older is being 6 foot under, so we just have to live with it.

Each life stage has its Joys and woes.
Joy and woe,
woven fine,
A clothing for,
the soul divine!
Another 2 years for me to get to 30, but I prefer to celebrate the now, in all its glory and frailty....otherwise you end up wishing your life away =)
Best wishes

It all depends on where you are in life. Regardless of age, if you are in debt or not secure, you will look back at that time with regret. If you were fulfilled, it will be a fond remembrance.
