Yes, my biological parents are still married and I am so proud of them. I am the youngest at 44. My sister and brother are 9 and 10 years older than me. Which makes my parents being married for 57 years.
It's unbelieveable to me. I was married for 21 years which seemed like forever. But, 57 years, I can't imagine.
My grandmother has lost 3 husbands, my grandma and grandpa were married for 37 years before he died of cancer. Grandma was married again for 5 or so years, before her husband died of a stroke. She married again and was married for 25 years until her husband died 2 years ago. Grandma is now 94 and all together would've been married for almost 70 years.
you don't see that too often these days. I believe my parents are very happy. I hope that they make it to 75 years.

42 years. Sometimes I wonder how they have made it so long. I know they love each other, but I don't know if they necessarily make each other "happy". I see that they really don't have much in common except the kids and grandkids. Other than that, it really doesn't seem like they enjoy the same types of activities or spend a whole lot of time together. I certainly don't see them get affectionate with each other. I know it really upsets my mom, but my dad just doesn't "get it" or understand that she still wants to feel loved. I know they talked about divorce back in '84, but they never did it. Sometimes I feel sorry for my mom since she feels lonely a lot in the marriage.

No, my biological parents are both dead and never married to each other even though between them I have 5-half brothers and 3-half sisters. I have lots of half-uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews who have never met each other or even know they are related. Only two half sisters know I exist. Talk about dysfunctional.
