What you think of me is none of my business ....coz
1. My knowledge of what you are thinking is limited. It is only conjecture
2. Even if you tell me what you think of me, i'll be on a rollercoaster ride as your opinions of me might keep changing depending on so many factors
3. It is very difficult to change other ppl
What I think of me....is most important
1. I have 100% responsibility to myself
2. Everything begins from loving yourself first

It is true that people should really not care what others think of them when it comes to actions that will not hurt others. For example, when I returned an ink cartridge the day after Christmas, I had several people making rude comment about how I was making them late to work, etc. etc. Another person said I was returning a present, which was not the case because I had bought it a month earlier. It just happened that this was the first time I had a day off to return the cartridge. I became really upset about people's comments and I started to take it personally, but then I thought I was not really hurting anyone. I should not have to feel guilty for returning an item just because RiteAide does not have a line to do this. On the other hand, those people had a right to be upset I made the line longer, but I do not have to let their actions upset me.
However, I think people should be concerned about what others think if they did something really rude that upsets others. For example, if a person made a really hurtful comment at a dinner party he or she might consider apologizing.

Because everything in life is connected, when something has an impact on you, it automatically has an impact on others. If you decide that you hate yourself and jump off the roof - would it not suck if you land on a person that loves their life? Why did they have to end up paralyzed or probably even dead thanks to you? To think is a thought and action expresses the thought. If I knew that someone didn't like me, I'd attempt to figure out why and work things out. If it doesn't work out, I will not scorn that person nor get in their way. What events will my attitude to the situation kick-start?

Well it's easy to say that others' opinions don't matter. I'm going to have to contradict myself on this one because I think you're right but I also think that you're not right. People's opinions of me are interesting in a whatever way they mean but in the end it's only what I do with the information I receive and what I think and feel about myself is what ultimately defines me.

Hmm interesting. I quite like that. BUT, there are times that a person's thoughts about us may wake us up to ourselves!!
So I think it can go both ways. I would apply your statement if I knew a person was misjudging me or criticising me unfairly and dishonestly.

Being a Pastor I have run up against this problem several times with other Pastors.
I have concluded that they can think what they want, I'll continue knowing what I know.

I agree.
It's implications are that I don't care what other people think of me, and that I answered this question with 'I agree.' :)

I cant help what other people think of me, but I try to treat everyone the same. I try to live by the golden," Do unto others as you would do unto your self."

I agree. I don't much care what people think of me either, but what I think of myself is what counts.

I agree. We should never care what others think about us, only that we are being true to ourselves.
