When making a search, choose keywords that should yeild the most concise results, without eliminating close possibilities. You may also narrow it down using + and - signs to include or to exclude terms. For example, you might want to know about starch in a diet, but not about laundry starch, so your search could be starch-laundry. Or, to narrow down a larger clothing search, you might try pants+corduroy. Keep practicing, and try several search engines until you become comfortable.
