Money doesn't last forever. Even 10 million can be spent during a lifetime. Life doesn't last forever.
On the flip side, life doesn't last forever, so make the best and spend all your time with your family in the after life.
If there is no afterlife, well----you'll have bad karma in the next life, or if you just rot in your grave your family will be dead too and they can't get mad at you about that.
It all depends on where the person comes from. If they have a great bond with their family or are always fighting.
For me----me and my family, we fight whenever we see each other, but my extended family rocks. I couldn't block great friends out, just because they were family, even for money. I'd rather have a chance to get that money through some game show and still have a place at the table during the holidays than lose my family for a guaranteed fortune.

I have a wonderful husband and 2 kids that I really adore; I have a sister that is my best friend; a weird mother that I tolerate. I would not take ten million dollars for them.
Money is not everything! I have everything I need and nearly all the things I want - a car that runs, food in the fridge, my health, the love of those around me. Some of these things could be bought by money and some cannot. Are all rich people happy? Of course not! Today I played tennis with my kids and went to the library and out to lunch at our favorite hotdog place. It was priceless. If I had ten million dollars, we might have gone shopping instead, but I would not have traded today. I could not have been happier if I had been doing anything else than what I did today.

Some days, that is a very tempting offer, but would I be happy with out them, how lonely would holidays be, just curled up with cold cash? No one to talk a bout past family jokes? I guess I would have to decline, now if it was 100 million, em?, have to think a bout all over.

Yep. In a heartbeat.
I'd miss my dad. That's about it. Everyone else has caused me pain and suffering. (My mother abused my sister and I as kids while my dad was away and didn't know...)
My mother told me for my 18th birthday "Wow I wish I had that abortion with you- you're just not worth being alive."
Great present, mom.
My sister thinks I'm a waste of air.
My grandmother hates me b/c I'm not married popping out her great grandkids by now (i'm only 26!) .... I see the rest of our family once every 6 years or so.
Yeah. I'd take the money, get out of debt, start my own farm with my horses and leave them all.
As long as I can take my cat and horses, and keep my FRIENDS, I'm in!!
Where are you going to send my check?

Oh no, I couldn't take the money. I would probably end up in a mental institute with my money just sitting in a bank account! I would go crazy without my family!

nope!! I don't think all the money in the world is worth my sisters and my mom and dad. Their my rocks when things go crazy and I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for them. Wait on second thought maybe I'll take that money lol j/k

Depends. That is a good question. I mean how many manipulating distant relatives would I have that would do such a thing? I don't know.

Can it be my in-laws. I'd do that for free!!! ;-) I mean technically they're family...just the extended version. Otherwise no, I love my immediate family.
