I have a broken dictionary, that I use to carry around with me everywhere, I highlighted all the words I looked up. It is quite useful, I planned on writing a story using all the words that I had looked up, but never got around too it.

I don't carry a dictionary around with me, but when I come across a word that I'm not familiar with, I'll look it up, write it down, and try to use it in a story or article that I write. It then becomes a part of my vocabulary.

I think you should get around to writing that story. I'm impressed that you are a "wordsmith" like myself. In this day and age, it's rare to find people like us who are interested in words. I find them utterly fascinating. Thanks for your question and best of luck!

Usually I just write the words down and look them up when I get home, because I'm too lazy to carry a dictionary around with me. LOL! But good for you though.

I personally do not carry a dictionary around but I have always advised my friends to do so........
It is a very good idea to have one on hand.
My dictionary is too thick to carry around so I have to find a compact (concise) one first.

Mine is in the top drawer of my computer desk. I am a good speller and know the meaning of most words used in everyday converstions, but sometimes my knowledge comes from reading. So I use it to help on pronunciations of words which I have never heard spoken..

good question ! As stated on your question, the be conscious Liberal began to have undesirable connotations for the duration of the tremendous melancholy, and the upward push of Union hard paintings. The Robber Barons choose for to apply the be conscious for any baby-kisser who supported the Unions, and it inferred that that guy replaced into in desire of Unionization, and as a bring about basic terms a step faraway from nationalizing marketplace, and turning out to be a Marxist / Socialist government. the wealthy conservatives had the main to lose from the two union shops, and a minimum salary regulation, so as that they began the 1st "pink Scare" long till now Joe McCarthy replaced into ever in place of work. The Republicans somewhat began to hate Liberals, while, in 1993, an extremely liberal Democrat ran his marketing campaign as a "New Democrat", then began his 2 words via ending a many years-long funds deficit, and ending Welfare as-we-knew-it. those have been the two Conservative's widespread themes to declare, and substantial weapons they had used to slander Liberals with for years, and while Clinton introduced our government into black ink, and have been given hundreds of welfare families decrease back interior the paintings rigidity, it needless to say have been given some Repub's pissed ! considering they could no longer make any of a million fake accusations with reference to the Clinton's lives stick, they jumped on the Lewinsky BJ scandal, and wasted tens of millions greater taxpayer money and congressional hours with an impeachment that does no longer stick the two ! absolutely everyone who believes that "Liberal" is a undesirable be conscious, probably believes there are dying panels and team abortions interior the well being reform expenses too ! LoL, i ought to bypass on approximately why they hate us lots, yet what's particularly caught of their craw now, is that the Bush / Cheney regime has destroyed the Republican social gathering, and set-decrease back the Conservative stream in usa via approximately 50 years, and that they'd't blame that on absolutely everyone yet themselves ! LoL, lower back !!

Yes, I keep it in my pants. When people see me, they say "Is that a dictionary in your pants or are you just happy to see me?" Naturally, I reply: "Yes, that is my dic...tionary" - notice the pause, so they think I'm saying something else! Comedic genius!
