No way - Sally Field was adorable and David Niven with the streaker was a sign of the times, a cultural statement.

The Most Embarassing Moment in the Oscars - it makes me cringe just to think about it, I can't watch the Oscars since... When Bette Davis accepted her last award and began to ramble and ramble and talk about nothing and everything and finally had to be escorted from the stage. I wanted to crawl under a rock for her. To see her so far gone, this amazing, brilliant, beautiful, amazonian actress... lost to dementia and basically dropping her drawers on national television like that. AAAACK!

Only slightly less embarassing was when Marlon Brando confirmed that he had gone totally around the bend by sending the Native American princess to refuse his award as some kind of protest.

Sally Field saying "you like me, you really, really like me." And the incident with actor David Niven speaking with a streaker running behind him.
