Being gay is an intrinsic state of being, not a choice, let alone a choice of lifestyle.

Being a parent is a lifestyle choice. Being single is a lifestyle choice. Being married is a lifestyle choice.

Loving someone is a HUMAN choice.

I am gay for the same reason I have blue eyes. Are my blue eyes a 'lifestyle choice'?

Do you live a 'heterosexual lifestyle'? Did Bill Clinton cheat on Hillary because he was living a 'hetero lifestyle'?

I made my lifestyle choice because I thought it was the right one for me. I am a man. I like men. I am not attracted to women. That doesn't mean I have to be gay. My inclinations are to be gay and I CHOOSE to pursue that lifestyle. I know quite a few people who have gay inclinations, who went on to get married, have kids, and are very happy. It's a definite choice.
We each have the responsibility to live our lives, not follow something else. Until you have children, it's your life and the decisions and choices you make will determine your happiness and fullness of your life.
Inclination towards alcoholism is hereditary, yet people do not give into that just because they were born that way. We do not owe it to any cause, culture, or society to make a choice that doesn't make us happy.

I really hate that term, "Liftestyle." What makes my lifestyle (ie style of living) any different than any other blended family? What makes my lifestyle different from any other mother of a teenager? What makes my lifestyle any different than that of someone who works from home or owns their own homebased business?

Just because my partner is the same gender as I am does not make an entire lifestyle. My life does not revolve around who I sleep with. It revolves around being a mother, an artist, a good friend, a sister, a daughter, a good neighbor.

My lifestyle is that of someone who owns and runs a homebased business or of an artist. I chose that because it's what I'm good at, it's what I have a passion for doing with my life.
My sexual orientation plays no role in my style of living my life. It's simply a small part of what makes me who I am.

What makes you think it is a choice? There have been scientific studies that show there is a difference in the left lobe of the brain among homosexual men! Who would make a choice that includes being hated by half of the population, turned away by family and friends and persecuted beyond imagination. And even if it was a personal choice, what makes you decide to buy jiff instead of skippy peannut butter? Live and let live. With everything going on in todays world, ie: Iraq, world hunger, why do you care who some stranger choses to love and share their bed and their life with?

Well, I went to the UW in Seattle because it is the best school in the state for what I want to do. I moved to Tacoma because that is where we bought the house. I am online because I'm waiting for someone else to get done with what their doing so we can go out. Why did you make each lifestyle choice?

I chose my lifestyle based on the understanding that I don't know very much at all. As humans we are finite and our knowledge will always be limited. If we look at scientists, mathematicians, and many other valuable contributors to society they will tell you the more they've learned, the more they've realized that they do not know anything at all. So I chose to live my life based on certainty that there is a God, and searched for His guide - since He's the one who made me, He must know what's best for me.
