Ok ur gonna need an ethernet cable it is much like a phone lune cable except the plugs are wider ur gonna plug that into the back of the ps2 then your gonna plug in the other end into the DSL Modem this is the box that u have connected to ur computer to go on the internet. If u dont have one you will have to subscribe to an internet provider that uses DSL or Cable Ex. Sbc yahoo and Roadrunner. If ur short on cash id suggest Sbc Yahoo its good and cheap if u got cash then get roadrunner its expensive but worth it and it comes in packages with Time Warner Cable. After u subscribe to one u will get ur DSL or Cable modem. Now some of the modem have many ethernet slots others only have one. If yours has more than one simply pick one of the slots and plug in the ethernet cable coming from the ps2 to the modem and u can have another 1 connected in ur computer. If it only has one slot then simply unplug it from your computer and onto ur ps2. Also if u dont have the ethernet cable one comes with the modem they send u after u subscribe onto an internet provider. You only need 1 but if ur modem has multiple slots u can purchase another ethernet cable in stores like Cicuit City and plug ur ps2 and ur computer this way u wont go through the problems of switching cables all the time. After u have ur ps2 hooked go to the options of an online game and it will ask u to make an account just fill out the information and u will be done. I dont know if they charge a fee to play online for the ps2 since i dont have it but I do have xbox live and the hooking up is the same on both systems so my information is still correct. If the ps2 charges for an online fee then it will ask for ur credit card information aswell. Hope this helps you out.

All you need is an ethernet cable. Plug it into the back.
When you go to the game you want to play online, you'll be able to sign up to the PS Network and stuff like that. It's pretty simple.
If you still have trouble, email me.
I tried to hit you back, but it didn't go through. Here's what I wrote:
Plug the ethernet cable into the PS2, and then the other end into your internet router. Put the game into your PS2, then select "Online" or something like that. From there, it will tell you how to set things up.
To play your PS2 through your monitor, you need a TV tuner for your computer. Most current computers have one, but if you don't, you'll have to go buy one. They're, like, $15. The next thing you need is an adapter for the component wires to your PS2, which can be kind of tricky to locate. But it shouldnt be very expensive.
Contact your nearest Gamestop for more detailed info, then go to
Walmart and get the stuff you need, to save some money.

Any standard ethernet cable should work. Plug it in to the back of your PS2 and into a router that is hooked up to your network.

Ethernet cable.
You should have a router also... They are $65 - $200 and more... This will allow you to have internet on your computer, and internet on your PS2 at the same time...
Also, make sure you have broadband or DSL internet.
