I always just accepted the answer that it was hormones making me tired, and never really thought about the loss of caffeine. I suppose it could have something to do with it!

In my honest opinion, you age instantly 10 years when you become a parent, and I think maybe the tiredness is just a sign of your advancing mental age! haha

It has nothing to do with caffeine, its your energy the fact that the baby is feeding off of your energy to grow and what you eat or drink the baby takes in. And the fact that your body is taking on each weight that can make you sleepily, and the fact that your body moves your organs over so that the baby has room to grow. Those may be some of the rest you feel tired, you may want to talk with your doctor and see what he/she has to say. I pray all goes well with your delivery!

It is normal to feel tired during pregnancy. That is one of the symptoms, some people feel exactly the way you do. They feel like they cannot move without wanting to fall asleep. Talk to your doctor , there may be something they can help you with, maybe even an adjustment in your diet.

I know, the first trimester is the worst!! All i did was sleep all day long. I think that we are so tired because our body is using the energy we have and don't have to make a baby and if you think about how complex we are as human beings then think about what it takes to actually make one inside of you.

Congratulations!! You're nourishing another human being! Normally, the food you eat is your own energy - now your baby gets however much he/she takes. Take your vitamins and eat healthy foods but you're still gonna be tired! If this is your first try to get a nap in her and there. Oh, and when you have your baby take naps when he/she does for the first couple weeks - that's when you're really tired!! Take care!

Its not the lack of caffine making you tired its the fact your using up so much energy with a baby developing inside you. It takes alot of energy.

It has a lot to do with hormones, some to do with the added work your heart and kidneys have to do due, increased bodily fluid (blood, amniotic fluid) and conserving energy/fat for labor and breastfeeding. Sometimes adjusting your diet to small meals with extra protein eaten more frequently to keep blood sugar levels help.

You will be extra tired in your first trimester. Your body is working really hard to make a baby.

Think about it, you are creating a baby. Your body is tired because it is using your "body" to nourish and grow the baby.
