There are several things you can use. I've enclosed several sites within this to hopefully help you.

Clear gel that creates a sticky surface that all birds hate is called bird gel. You can find it at Bird*B*Gone along with other nifty stuff.

4 The Birds - This product repels the birds from a ledge or roof peak for months. Two types: The gel lasts longer and is best for ledges but the liquid can be used on leafless trees to discourage roosting flocks of blackbirds.

Hot Foot Gel is totally different from traditional tactile repellents. Its chemical formula is so different that it carries a worldwide Patent and a two year performance guarantee. It is designed to be sticky, so does not harm or burn the birds or harm them.

Bird repellents containing polymerized butenes such as HOT FOOT®, RO-PEL®, and SHOO® are effective in controlling the pigeons around the home and garden. These products are formulated as soft, sticky substances which are applied to windows, sills, eaves, roofs, and ornamental plants to discourage birds from roosting. Most bird repellents can be purchased at local hardware stores or reputable garden centres.

Good luck on the pigeon problem!

I think I saw some call Don't Roost on some thing like that.

You should be able to find it at any larger hardware store.

I know it looks a bit strange but those fake birds like eagles and owls do work.
...what can I say we have a lot of those critters on the roof.
