rudy coertzon (umpire) has had an absolute shocker in this test as far as the l.b.w decisions he has give and not given?

what is with those two answers!!?? (they aren not aussie anyway). yes, hayden was out twice, symonds, collingwood, cook today, it was ridiculous, and they he gave out bell which was the least plumb of the lot of them! its not that hard is it, i mean when i watch it, striaght away, if its plumb, im yelling OUT at the tv, its an easy decision.

Some go your way others do not. It probably evens itself up in the end. It is easy to pass judgement with the benefit of slow motion play backs but at the time is a split second and the umpire has so many things to think about such as has the bowler overstepped, where the ball pitches, where on the pad has the ball hit, did the batsman get an inside edge and would the ball have hit the stumps. Not an easy job.

The LBW decisions have always been a controversial issue.
One should understand the simple fact that Umpires are human being and error of judgement can take place. What one feel may not be the same the Umpire is feeling. Umpires give decisions based on their assessment and not based on the assessment of others.
