The first females to practice lesbianism never saw it on TV, being as it was thousands of years before televisions were invented...
And besides, a few more bisexuals in the world definitely won't hurt anything..

I think it depends on how the female child is raised. If she is raised to think that lesbians are a normal part of life she will become more comfortable with the idea. On the other hand, if her parents teach her that being a lesbian is wrong, she might also think that being a lesbian is wrong. Sometimes female celebrities will get caught up in the spot-light and become driven to get more attention. So, they will try and get that attention from males and also other females by being with another female.

Well, certainly it will raise the idea in their minds that they could be sexual with another woman. Whether that will cause them to be bisexual or lesbian is doubtful - they will be attracted to who they are attracted to regardless of what they see on television or elsewhere. They may 'experiment', be one's sexual orientation is much more than mere experimentation. To put it another way, think of the kid who never sees same-gender sexuality and is nonetheless attracted to members of their own gender in teen and adult years. The real concern with children veiwing sexuality on tv is, I think, the level of respect that is shown for that type of human interaction and the kids being taught that sex is not for entertainment alone.

No not at all! Does watching Rhino's screw on National Geographic make you want to screw a rhino as well? If they are attracted to the opposite sex, I hardly think that tv is to blame. I think we should be more worried about raising children who are able to take care of themselves while being compassionate to others. That is much more important then who they are sleeping with.

it will not MAKE them lesbians.... but it does seem there is a certain
atmosphere of girl/gril activity acceptability that as invaded our society.
highschool girls are kissing eachother in front of their boyfriends for the effect it has on them.... i've heard this multiple times in the past few years.... 20 years ago you NEVER heard of this... (not that a certain amount of it was not happening).
People willl explore thier sexuality no matter what... how much they talk about it varies on society standards though.
