me and my boyfriend were arguring about this... ok say u were to add 75
+35.....
would u go left to right... like add 7+3 and 5+5
or would u go right to left.... like add 5+5 and 7+3....
i know this is dumb but i wanna know which is the right way... thanks for ur help!!!

First you add 5 and 5. You get 10. Carry the 1, then you add 7 and 3. You get 11. 110 is your answer.

RIGHT TO LEFTbecuse 5+5=10 so you have to carry the one over the7 so 7+3+1=11 so 73+55=110 if you went left to right it would be 7+3=10 carry the 1 over the 5 and 5+5+1=11 so.. wait a minute well this one works both ways!!lol hmmm but you get the point!!

Right to left, because you add 5+5 you have 10 and you have to carry the 1 to the next column and then add 1 + 7 + 3 += 11

right to left....you may have leftovers 5+5=10 so you would have to bring the 1 over to the 7+3...

You always go from the right to left when doind math. You start adding/subtracting from the ones unit. Which would be the 5 and 5s. :)
