Places that sell eyeglasses have special extra soft cloths used for cleaning lens. These cloths cannot scratch a lens. Never use windex, alcohol, towels, or clothing. Dirt on the screen can scratch a delicate screen when wiped with something so rough in texture.

I use Glasses cleaner in addition to a non-abrasive cloth on mine. Water messes up the touch sensor, and the non-abrasive cloth alone doesn't nessesarily work. the cleaner I use is supplied by a Rosin Eyecare.
Try not to touch the screen with your fingers too

You can buy clear plastic clings for them, made especially for the DS. They are cheap and replaceable, but they do get scratched pretty easily.

make sure you shut it when you're not using it so it doesn't get dusty and always wash your hands before you play so you don't make a mess off it with your mucky fingers. :P
